Sign up to speak and present at our monthly Meetup
OverviewThank you for your interest in participating in our monthly Magento Meetup focused around solutions for e-commerce merchants as well as the software platforms Magento. |
Marketing and PromotionYour company and products will be featured at the Meetup ahead of time on meetup.com as well as through multiple newsletters to over 1000 people. The eCommerce Forum will write and publish 2 press releases to announce the Meetup, speaker and topic. And we will publish a final review of the Meetup on our blog and provide a destination for follow up questions as well as lead generation. |
VenueThe Meetup currently takes place at the Microsoft flagship store on 5th Avenue in New York, which can accommodate up to 150 people. For larger audiences larger venues are available. Laptop computers, 2 large TV monitor walls, access to the Internet and audio equipment can be provided. We can record your presentation to be published online later. |
Beverages and FoodWe will order food and beverages as well as utensils and and have them ready for the event. |
Program OverviewNetworkingOur team greets attendees and encourages them to network with each other. Attendees tend to arrive a little late and the networking ensures that the main presentation is not interrupted.
Sign InAttendees sign in with the help of our staff, and use stickers to identify if they are merchants, developers, job seekers or hiring. |
IntroductionsWe provide a moderator and host for the evening. Attendees are asked to introduce themselves and tell a little about themselves as well as what brings them to them to the Meetup, what expectations they have, especially in regards to the topic of the evening. Other vendors are allowed to mention what they do, but their “sales pitch” is limited to 30 seconds. |
Main PresentationYou are free to present in any way you prefer. Video and audio equipment can be provided, and the presentation can be recorded to be edited and published. |
Q&AWe invite you to leave your presentation open to questions during the talk. Following your presentation, the guests often have questions, which can lead to interesting discussion that enrich the evening. Such discussions may cover topics outside of your immediate expert area and product offering. Our moderator may provide additional information for the audience to answer questions that come up. The focus will be on providing additional information while bringing the discussion back to you, the presenter. An example of this is a side discussion of fraud protection measures during a payment processing presentation. |
NetworkingAfter the main presentation guest will often have individual questions for the presenter. This is the best time to capture the most interested leads. |

If you are a thought leader and provide a valuable service for merchants and are active in technology and e-commerce you may benefit from presenting to our engaged audience.
