Additionally, a channel could be any method of transacting with a customer. Some examples of transacting include:

- – buying
- – returning
- – finally, presale and after-sale service
Understanding omnichannel retailing is crucial for online business owners. Today, 71% of shoppers use smartphones for research. That makes smartphones the new personal shopping assistant. Most importantly, shoppers who shop in-store and online have a 30% higher lifetime value than shoppers who use only one channel. Therefore, learning how to convert shoppers on any channel could increase your net profit.
